Due to the anatomical differences between male and female cyclists PRO produces sex specific saddles. Women tend to require a wider saddle and benefit from a broader anatomical fit recess. Men meanwhile can also benefit from an anatomic fit recess, especially if you have struggled with numbness before.

How flexible are you?
Your flexibility will determine how low your handlebars can be in relation to your saddle. The lower they are and the greater the negative difference between your saddle and handlebars is the further forward on the saddle you are likely to sit. You therefore need a saddle with a broader and more padded nose. If you are flexible you will require a saddle with balanced padding to disperse your weight evenly across the saddle. While if you are less flexible or if you sit very upright on the bike, with a large positive difference between your saddle and your handlebars, you will need a saddle with more padding at the back of the saddle.
