Kokoto, the Swahili for pebbles or gravel. A word so alien to Laurens ten Dam and his crew of Live Slow Ride Fast gravel adventurers that it perfectly encapsulates the Migration Gravel Race. Kenya and the spectacularly wild Maasai Mara are a far cry from Ten Dam’s home roads in the Netherlands or the glamour of the WorldTour. It is dusty, rocky, beautiful and challenging, the setting for raw gravel racing at its very best. Watch as Ten Dam, Dennis Bruin, Stefan Bolt and Thomas Dekker travel to East Africa to experience the continent’s first gravel stage race.
This is part 1 of a 4 part series documenting their adventure.
