The PRO Sirin Saddle is PRO’s women’s specific saddle. It is not simply a women’s version of an existing PRO Saddle, but was designed and developed specifically for women. This process took place over several years, with iterations being fine-tuned with the help of an extensive team of product testers. Not only does the PRO Sirin Saddle feature a cut-out which was developed with a pelvic floor specialist, to reduce pressure on soft tissue while riding, but it also has a slimer nose, a hand wrapped side curve to prevent chafe, and an optimized curve which better suits the way women put power through the pedals. It also boasts dual density EVA foam padding which transitions from softer on the nose to firmer on the rear of the saddle.

The design

Designed to provide both comfort and a position which optimizes speed, the PRO Sirin Saddle is a women’s specific saddle. Developed over several years – by combining the expertise of the PRO Saddle design team, data from thousands of bike fitments, the knowledge of a pelvic floor specialist and the feedback from a group of dedicated female test riders – the PRO Sirin Saddle offers the best of both worlds: Comfort and Performance. Based around a women’s specific cut-out, it features a slimmer nose, wrapped sides to prevent chafe, and a women’s optimized curve to help you produce the watts you’re capable of when everything is working perfectly in synchronization.

At our HQ in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, The PRO Sirin follows PRO’s Dutch engineering design philosophy and manufactured to the Japanese industry-leading, exacting, standards the PRO Sirin Saddle is designed to meet the specific needs of women’s riders. It features a 35 millimeter wide nose, dual density EVA foam padding, and a cut-out which was developed with a pelvic floor specialist and the feedback of a dedicated product testing team. It features a side curve and the durable PU cover wraps, ergonomically, over the edge of the base to reduce the risk of chafe. It also boasts a women’s specific curve from the nose to the wings of the saddle which when combined with the dual density padding allows women to produce their best possible power by providing a comfortable, but locked in feeling on the saddle.

The Performance model has a carbon reinforced base, and Inox stainless steel rails. The Team model has a carbon reinforced base and carbon rails, both are available in two widths – 152 and 162 millimeters. Like all PRO Saddles it is compatible with the PRO Saddle Accessory Mount.

A Saddle Designed by Women, for Women

Creating the brand new PRO SIRIN saddle was a team driven effort. It was a journey shaped by science, feedback, and real-world testing with one goal in mind: to empower women to enjoy the liberating joy of cycling.

We began with a comprehensive interview conducted with over 1500 respondents through GCN, uncovering the most common saddle issues faced by female riders. To deepen our understanding, we held 31 detailed interviews during the Ladies Event in Valkenburg, listening directly to women’s experiences and pain points.

Next, we put 10 leading existing saddles to the test, partnering with 15 female test riders to benchmark the performance, comfort, and design of women saddles. Armed with these insights, we crafted our prototypes and began rigorous testing with 10 female riders, refining every curve and feature.

The final stage was all about precision. We developed two distinct padding densities and evaluated them with 15 test riders, ensuring that every rider’s feedback shaped the saddle’s final form. 10 of these riders then continued testing the saddle for over 3 months, validating its performance over time and under real-world conditions.
